Procedure Steps
The patient is sedated using general anesthesia.
Dr. Angelia will create an incision just above the pubic bone which will create a scar but it can be hidden under most clothing.
Liposuction may be used to remove some pockets of excess fat.
The loose skin will be pulled tighter and the excess cut off.
Dr. Angelina will then close the incision with expertise to mitigate scarring and cover it with surgical tape and bandages.
Depending on the circumstances she may use drainage tubes just below the incision to help prevent excess fluid build-up while the incision heals.
Dr. Angelina will recommend a compression garment that needs to be worn for about six weeks to help lessen. discomfort and provide support while the incision heals.
Any drainage tubes and bandages will be removed by Dr. Angelina at a follow up appointment.
Some pain, discomfort, swelling, and bruising are normal after a mini tummy tuck but will subside. Dr. Angelina may provide a prescription for pain medication to help ease the initial discomfort if needed.
