Body contouring treatments that do not require surgery have made great advancements in the past few years! Some of the less invasive procedures were fairly uncomfortable and often delivered underwhelming results. This has all changed today. There are several treatments that balance comfort and fantastic results in a short amount of time. PHYSIQ is a new body contouring treatment that delivers astounding results painlessly, with no downtime.
What Is Physiq Body Contouring?
PHYSIQ body contouring is a state-of-the-art, non-invasive treatment that uses Sequential Thermal and Electrical Pulse (STEP) and electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to enhance, tone, and refine areas of the body that have been non-responsive to diet and exercise. It can be used to treat the abdomen, love handles, thighs, inner thigh area, buttock, arms, hips, back (nearly every part of the body).
Who Is a Candidate?
Candidates for PHYSIQ are individuals that are at or around their target weight and are in overall good health. Individuals who need assistance to eliminate stubborn fat deposits and increase muscle tone. The treatments are safe for all skin types. It is not recommended to anyone who is nursing or pregnant.
PHYSIQ Body Contouring For Men
Just like women, many men have problem areas on their bodies, and even slim men tend to have a few stubborn areas that are resistant to diet and exercise. Unlike women, the male body is less curvy, which makes excess weight more noticeable. PHYSIQ body contouring is an excellent tool for smoothing out love handles, reducing back fat, and helping men achieve those taut flat but visible abdomen muscles they desire.
At SurgiCare Arts, we help often men achieve their best shape with non-invasive body contouring treatments when they need to add extra muscle definition. The treatments complement their gym routine to take the results and the visual appearance to the next level.
How Does PHYSIQ Work?
PHYSIQ strategically targets muscles and fat at the same time through its unique Sequential Thermal & Electrical Pulse (STEP) technology. With the use of 1 to 4 applicators, deep heat, and muscle stimulation is delivered through a series of preprogrammed sequences. Deep heat is emitted into the tissue through a luminescent diode matrix (SDM) while simultaneously electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) is re-educating the muscles by creating involuntary muscle contractions. The two work together to reduce fat, increase muscle definition, and tone and tighten the skin. No incisions and no anesthetics are required; the machine works on your body shape for 20-45 minutes in one session and requires no recovery time whatsoever.

What Should I Expect From My Physiq Treatment?
To prepare and obtain the best results from your PHYSIQ treatment, it is recommended that you increase your water intake so your body is properly hydrated. Also, if necessary, shave the targeted area so the adhesive pads stay secure during the procedure. The medical professional will place between 1 and 4 applicators in the desired areas optimally spaced out for best results. They are applied using a personal adhesive pad without the use of gooey gel. These special applicators radiate their magic at a 120-degree angle, so it is possible to use fewer applicators and adequately cover the targeted area.
During the 20-45 minute procedure, you will not experience discomfort, just possibly a warm heat at the points where the headset is touching the skin. You can read a magazine, browse the internet or take a short nap as the procedure is completely painless and non-invasive. Many patients report that it is very relaxing.
You will feel warmth where the applicators are resting during your treatment as well as feel your muscles contracting during the EMS programs. Most patients feel totally relaxed and comfortable, but if for any reason you are uncomfortable, there is a patient control button within easy reach to help adjust the energy levels; this will not change the effect of the treatment.
At the completion of your treatment, you will be given a bottle of special massage lotion that is specially designed for use after PHYSIQ treatments. This lotion is to be lightly massaged into the treated area twice daily between treatment appointments. The treated area may feel a bit warm for a few hours after the treatment. You should avoid any strenuous activities or exercise that will raise your body temperature for at least 2 days.
How Many Treatments Do I Need?
Most patients experience optimal results after about 5 sessions spaced one week apart. Each session lasts 20-45 minutes.
Are the Results Permanent?
Maintaining a steady weight and living a lifestyle that includes a healthy diet and exercise should yield permanent results. Any fat cells that were eliminated during the procedure will not come back; however, the existing fat cells can grow larger, and the muscle tone can get lax if not maintained.
Are There Risks or Side Effects?
Most patients reported little to no side effects with the PHYSIQ body contouring treatments. Slight redness in the treatment areas or very mild swelling are possible but should quickly dissipate.
