Your Morpheus8 body treatment begins with the thorough cleansing of the treatment area followed by the topical application of numbing cream. The numbing cream is allowed to sit for 20 to 30 minutes to ensure your comfort during the procedure.
Next, an expertly trained SurgiCare Arts & Aesthetics practitioner uses a device that resembles a hand-held hair dryer to begin the procedure. This device has a variety of attachments with microneedles of different depths that can be used depending on the area that is being treated.
Morpheus8 state-of-the-art technology is pre-programmed to precisely and strategically deliver the exact treatment depth and frequency to each targeted area. The practitioner holds the device stationary over the area to be treated, and the microneedles deploy into the skin at the same time the radiofrequency is delivered. The device is moved around the face or body as needed using the appropriate attachment.
Depending on the size of the treatment area and how many areas are treated, the procedure usually takes between 30 and 45 minutes.
At the completion of the treatment, your skin will be treated with a topical moisturizer like Aquafor to help keep the skin hydrated and promote faster healing.
Recovery
The recovery time for Morpheus8 is surprisingly short for the results it delivers. Your skin will resemble a mild sunburn directly after the procedure but will still be numb, so you should not experience any discomfort. It also may feel warm, a little tight, and rough for a few days, and you will be instructed to moisturize the treatment areas while they heal.
