Procedure Steps
You will be put under general anesthesia, so you will be comfortable throughout the entire surgery. The surgery typically takes between two and three hours.

The extracted fat is gently purified in a way to prevent the cells from being damaged while preparing them for transfer.

Recovery
You will spend a few hours in the recovery room under observation by members of our medical team while you are coming out of the anesthesia, but you will be able to go home the same day. You will wake up with compression garments covering the treatment areas that you will need to wear for about 4 to 6 weeks.
You will need to take around 2 weeks off from work to allow your body time to heal from both the liposuction and the fat transfer procedure. You can expect swelling and bruising that may be accompanied by soreness and pain for the first few days.
You will need to take care not to put too much pressure on your newly grafted fat, which will require you to adjust your sitting and sleeping positions for several weeks. There are many different options available to help you stay comfortable, including special donut pillows, blow-up mattresses, and chairs that have a hole in the middle that allow you to sit or lie down without putting weight directly on your buttocks.
Most patients are able to resume their normal activities after about 6 weeks, but you may not be able to see the complete final results for several months until the swelling completely subsides.
